Four years before their Cabo wedding, Dave and Jess met working at the same company in Los Angeles and quickly fell for each other. They actually both attended the same college, Fordham University in New York, but never met! Luckily fate brought them back together on the other side of the county in Los Angeles! The timing was meant to be when meeting in LA as transplants from Chicago and NY. Dave said he knew Jess was the one from the first time he saw her. Can we all be so lucky?
After new homes, new jobs, new pets, and a pandemic, Dave proposed at home to Jess on Christmas Day 2020. They celebrated shortly after in Tulum for New Years Eve. For the wedding, The Cape was their first choice as they love to travel and wanted to spend an amazing vacation weekend to celebrate their love with their nearest and dearest.
When it came to planning their gorgeous Cabo wedding, They had a clear vision: they wanted something classic, romantic and elegant—but with a twist.
The result was an event that felt like a love letter to the perfect desert wedding. The couple’s color palette was influenced by the rich, golden hues of Cabo San Lucas’ landscape, with pops of green to reflect the area’s natural beauty. They also wanted their reception to be a lively affair—so they welcomed live music, fireworks, and disco balls into their party, creating a fun vibe for everyone!
Dave wore a custom tuxedo from Hall & Madden, while Jess wore a gorgeous dress from Pronovias teamed with an aquamarine ring from her mother as her “something blue”.
They chose The Cape Hotel in Cabo for its incredible views, hospitality, fantastic food, and upscale but laid-back vibe. The Cape is one of my personal favorite wedding venues in Los Cabos because not only is it luxurious but it has the best views of the famous Cabo arch!
