Settle in, babes – this is a long one! There are just so many lovely moments, I had the hardest time curating this post! And not to mention – one of my absolute favorite venues. If you’re searching for a perfect venue for an intimate wedding in Mexico City, look no further than Sobremesa. This beautiful venue nestled in the heart of Roma Norte served as the backdrop for Brittany and Victor’s unforgettable wedding in March 2023 (which was also their 7 year anniversary!). As the Jacaranda trees bloomed and the weather in Mexico City was nearly perfect, this amazing couple’s wedding celebration was nothing short of a dream.

How Brittany + Victor Brought LA’s Vintage Charm to Mexico City

Brittany and Victor shared a deep love for vintage. It was no surprise, considering they hail from Los Angeles, a city renowned for its abundance of vintage wonders. Their wedding day became this marvelous blend of their unique style and Mexico’s undeniable charm.

From the moment I met them, it was clear that Brittany and Victor had put immense thought and care into crafting a wedding day that was not only beautiful but also deeply meaningful. For that reason, their love story shined through in every detail. From the vintage car they arrived in to the beautiful table settings and their impeccable outfits.

First Looks Captured in the Streets of La Condesa

The day began in the charming La Condesa neighborhood at their Airbnb, where Brittany and Victor got ready. The anticipation in the air was palpable, and the first look on the streets of La Condesa was a moment of pure, heartfelt emotion. After capturing some beautiful moments in this picturesque neighborhood, we headed to Parque Mexico, a green oasis in the heart of Mexico City.

A Picturesque Setting for a Vintage-Inspired Wedding in Mexico City

At Parque Mexico, we took advantage of the park’s landmarks and lush greenery to create some stunning portraits. Brittany and Victor looked incredible together, and you could really feel their love in the midst of Mexico City’s stunning scenery.

While photographing, I encourage affection through playfulness & positivity. Through a combination of editorial portraiture and candid photojournalism, I’ll guide you when necessary and offer my expertise, but I always want it to feel like you.

Kind Words from Brittany and Victor

“My husband Victor and I are completely blown away with Eager Hearts Co.’s dedication and talent. We chose EH because of the attention to detail and personalized approach – we knew we wanted our photos and video to look timeless versus typical and Dacia and her team did just that. Dacia was extremely helpful and patient from the beginning to the very end. Wedding planning can be so overwhelming but having Eager Hearts Co. be a part of our wedding made us feel good in knowing we’d have amazing photos to keep for the rest of our lives. We can’t recommend this team of professionals enough!”

Sobremesa – The Vintage Charm Wedding Venue

Sobremesa really embodies that vintage charm you can’t help but fall in love with. This old building, with its perfectly patina-ed walls, is an ideal location for intimate celebrations. Without a doubt, Sobremesa is a favorite wedding venue for many in CDMX. The ambiance is enchanting, and the character of the venue added an extra layer of magic to Brittany and Victor’s day.

A Gorgeous Table Setting for an Intimate Celebration

The table looked gorgeous, set for their small group of loved ones. Casa Selva, the florist, worked their magic, adorning the table with stunning florals of peach, pink and reds, accentuated by these really cool marble candleholders that I haven’t seen before. The attention to detail, from the flowers to the table settings, really added to the beauty of the occasion.

It’s Not a Vintage Wedding Without Film Photography

I love playing with vintage film cameras, and this wedding was no exception! I wanted the look to be distinctly film, with all of its perfect flaws and idiosyncrasies. A combo of flash photography with a point-and-shoot 35mm as well as a vintage, medium format TLR was what I reached for most during this vintage wedding. Heavy grain and those yummy color tones! Nothing better.

Unique Style + Vintage Aesthetic Wedding Details

Brittany and Victor’s wedding was a delightful blend of their unique style, love for vintage vibes, and the historic charm of Sobremesa. The photos we made feel timeless, like they could have been taken in any era.

Their wedding day at Sobremesa was a testament to the beauty of intention and the magic of love stories. Each detail was thoughtfully considered, and their trust in the process made it an joyous and beautiful day for all involved.

Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting, a more lovely couple, or a more heartfelt celebration. Nonetheless, Brittany and Victor’s love story, set against the backdrop of Sobremesa and the enchanting streets of Mexico City, will forever hold a special place in my heart.
