Sometimes I get the opportunity to photograph two people who’s love is burning so bright that each interaction could set the world on fire. Danya + Cornelius are straight up magic. Just listen to this:
Their Love Story: “We met for the first time 10 years ago on a rooftop in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was summer, hot and humid. I came from Malaysia and Danya from Vienna and we both did a summer study program in Vietnam. It was an exciting time full of discoveries and enjoyment. From there our lives led us to Vienna, London, New York and Washington, DC. I kind of knew we would always be together. When Danya gathered to try to catch the bouquet at her cousin’s wedding I observed her and thought… “no need to catch the bouquet, I’m going to marry you no matter what”.
We started out in the early morning, took a walk around Tribeca, and ended up at City Hall, where we met their friends + family. Later, we celebrated together over an intimate dinner at Fada Restaurant in Brooklyn, with many touching moments and emotional speeches.
“Dacia did a fantastic job capturing our elopement in NY. She is highly professional, pays attention to detail and made us feel comfortable during the photo shootings. She was very organised and perfectly planned out a beautiful photo route for us through lower manhattan.
