Intimate Mexico City elopements are becoming ever more popular here, where the weather is unbeatable and beautiful spaces are abundant!
Today I want to share with you Stacey and Ryan’s elopement, an intimate and colorful celebration with just the two of them. These guys met on a dating app called Hinge, but pretty soon after they met up at a small concert for a local band at a bar and really hit it off. Everything felt very easy and comfortable for them from the get-go. Two years later, he proposed while they were alone under a shady tree at a desert botanical garden!
They continued the easy-going spirit of their engagement and relationship into their elopement by finding a venue that was private and had a garden. We shot at a beautiful little AirB&B in Roma Norte which had a rooftop garden and a great view overlooking the lush Plaza Rio de Janeiro.
One of my favorite personal touches of theirs was the postcards Ryan illustrated of Mexico City that they wrote little notes to friends and family after their vows. They also took the time together to weave an Ojo de Dios as a keepsake of their ceremony.
Stacey and Ryan chose Mexico City for the vibrant culture, art and history! The same reasons I decided to move to the city myself (as well as the food!). There is such a rich love for life in Mexico and they really wanted to capture that energy on their wedding day so they could carry it into their marriage.
If you’re thinking of eloping in Mexico City or have your eyes set on another Mexican destination then drop me a message, Id love to chat more with you and answer any questions you may have!
A very sweet first dance on the Air B&B Rooftop…
