Erika and Alex reached out to me for a unique adventure: capturing their engagement photos right in the neighborhood of their beloved home in La Condesa, Mexico City. We went for it on a late May date, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! It was just on the cusp of the rainy season, setting the stage for an unforgettable photoshoot.
Capturing Everyday Moments in Erika and Alex’s Mexico City Neighborhood
Erika and Alex simply wanted the photos to showcase their everyday life in Mexico City – you know, the stuff they do all the time. Like hanging out at their favorite coffee shop, taking their dog to the park, and strolling through their usual La Condesa neighborhood streets. Above all, there was no need for fancy outfits or making a big deal out of it – they just saw it as a fun way to explore their area and spend some quality time together.

Overall, they wanted the character of Mexico City to shine through – to capture the lively colors, quirky buildings, and interesting textures of La Condesa. They especially wanted to highlight Amsterdam Avenue, a charming street lush with tropical plants, that goes around Parque Mexico in La Condesa, which also happens to be where they call home.
