One thing about me is that I’m gonna say yes. I genuinely want to make that quirky or odd idea come to life for you, and I’m probably more excited about it than you, even. So when Brenda and Chris got in touch with me to take their engagement photos in their favorite bar, how could I say no? Photoshoots become way more meaningful and enjoyable when they involve something you love in a place where you feel totally at ease! No exception, this session felt effortless and authentic.
Brenda and Chris’ Authentic Engagement in Manhattan
I really enjoyed Brenda and Chris’s fun and loving dynamic – they’re so easygoing and playful with each other. Brenda and Chris had fantastic style, and it’s a blast when folks really express themselves in their photos. I usually give some tips on what to wear, but I’m all about people staying true to themselves and rocking whatever makes them feel best.
A Fun Engagement Photoshoot in a Local Bar
We kicked things off at Baby Bo’s Mexican Cantina in Midtown Manhattan because of its fun and quirky interior, plus the cool lights were an added touch! It’s a favorite hangout spot for them, just a few blocks from their place. After that, we swung by their apartment to snap some pics with their rescue bulldog, Bubba, who’s a huge part of their world. Their rooftop offered some fantastic views of the Empire State Building, so we got a nice mix of settings for their New York engagement.
I always think it’s great to go to personal, meaningful spots for engagement photos. I believe engagement sessions should capture the life you’re living right now. Life moves fast and so much can change after the wedding day. It’s a sweet way to document your life together before tying the knot.
