In the days where one’s self is more highly revered then those around them it’s so refreshing to meet (and know) a couple who cares so deeply for the community that has built who they are as people and shaped their love as a couple. Emily and Garrett are exactly that couple who made intentional strides to honor their community both in the physical sense, paying homage to their hometown of LA and in the emotional sense by reading vows not only to each other but the community of their supporters.
The Los Angeles River Center Wedding Venue
The Los Angeles River Center and Gardens is a beautiful garden wedding venue that offers a blend of natural beauty and historic charm. It features three distinct areas for ceremonies and receptions. Surrounded by ivy-covered walls, pepper trees, rose bushes, and flower-filled terracotta pots, the venue provides a stunning backdrop for wedding photos, creating a romantic and enchanting atmosphere.
Los Angeles River City Wedding Ceremony and Reception Options
La River Center and Gardens offer three areas for weddings, suitable for both ceremonies and receptions:
1. Main Courtyard: Accommodates 300 guests for ceremonies and up to 600 for outdoor receptions. This multi-level patio, surrounded by arcaded terraces, is the largest celebration space.
2. San Fernando Courtyard: A smaller side patio with a green lawn, holding 250 guests for ceremonies and 300 for receptions. It’s a popular choice for weddings.
3. Atrium: An indoor space with a skylight in the main building. Suitable for 150 guests for ceremonies and 200 for receptions. Ideal for smaller celebrations.
Enchanting Backdrops: Ivy-Covered Walls and Lush Greenery at the River Center
The tall ivy-covered walls at the River Center make a perfect backdrop. Surrounded by green walls, pepper trees, rose bushes, and flower-filled terracotta pots, the River Center offers a stunning atmosphere for your Los Angeles wedding photos.
Touching toasts, meaningful sentiments, and an emphasis on small special details made for the perfect cocktail of a classic LA wedding. Almost as perfect as their signature drink, The Brown Derby – another LA classic.
River Center was a perfect mix of Spanish architecture. And the timeless art deco feel was present in the atmosphere as the dim lights and candle flames danced in the balmy LA weather. The whole event was warm, romantic and full of intentionally vintage touches, just like Emily dreamed of.
