Yes, you should have your welcome dinner photographed! Sometimes overlooked, adding the coverage is advantageous on many levels. The moments leading up to the big celebration that are just as precious as those on the wedding day itself. With Alex and Aaron, we were able to fit in a quick little portrait session before the wedding rehearsal dinner. These two are crazy about each other, and it shows! Portraits Before the Rehearsal Dinner are a Must!
In just 30 minutes, we made a series of photos before the rehearsal dinner that captured the memories of their style, their giddy excitement for the plans ahead, and their love for each other. This proved to be even more valuable as the weather for the wedding day was pouring rain, absolutely sopping, and we weren’t able to use the grounds of Handsome Hollow for portraits at all.

One often underestimated advantage of wedding rehearsal dinner photos is the opportunity they present for more bride and groom portraits. Before the wedding rehearsal dinner started, Alex and Aaron took the opportunity to make some beautiful, fun portraits with me before their big day.
We can’t control the weather, but we can be prepared! Having these portraits taken the day beforehand ensures that even if the weather doesn’t cooperate (as it did in a major way for Alex and Aaron), you can stay fully immersed in the moment. Knowing you already have memories captured from your rehearsal dinner you can feel relief throughout the day.
